The first simulation session to prepare for the bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission took place

Last week, the NSSMC organised the first simulation session with the participation of state authorities and international experts to prepare for the bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission. It was held as part of the official screening of the compliance of national legislation with EU law and was dedicated to Title 6 «Corporate Law».

Representatives of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, and the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration took part in the discussion. Experts from Montenegro, Slovenia, and North Macedonia also joined the discussion.

During the session, the participants presented analytical materials and discussed key aspects of corporate law, including
• rules for establishing, registering, merging and dividing companies in EU countries,
• financial reporting and accounting standards,
• regulation of audits in accordance with EU directives,
• corporate governance and information disclosure by companies.

The simulation session was a key step in the process of Ukraine’s European integration. Further meetings and consultations with European partners will allow us to better prepare for the official assessment of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU standards.
