Transformation of the regulator: The National Securities and Stock Market Commission Office was established

As part of the internal transformation of the central office of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC), an Office has been established to support the activities of the capital markets regulator.

The main goal of the office is to create a strong and modern regulator for the efficient development of capital markets and to create transparent, clear and reliable rules for working in them.

«Ukraine is changing, and we are with it. There is still a lot of work and challenges ahead. However, we are confident that these steps will create a strong institution that will effectively meet the challenges of the times and promote the development of capital markets. The key to this whole process is people. We are pleased to welcome new specialists and are grateful to all those who have continued their professional career with the regulator», said Ruslan Magomedov, NSSMC Chairman.

The establishment of the NSSMC Office is not just a name change, it is the beginning of a major transformation of the regulator. These changes are aimed at improving the level of work of the NSSMC’s specialists, who are the drivers of the implementation of all plans and tasks facing the regulator today.

This process has been made possible by the Law of Ukraine on Regulation and Supervision of Capital Markets and Organised Commodity Markets (No. 3585-IX), which is designed to increase the institutional capacity and guarantees of the NSSMC’s independence. The Law was signed by the President of Ukraine in March 2024, which was an important step in the reform of the capital markets.
