How the introduction of quarantine through the spread of COVID-19 will affect the activities of professional stock market participants

Professional stock market participants should take into account the restrictive measures (quarantine) in their activities introduced in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  In particular, for the period of quarantine, it is recommended, if possible, to provide remote performance of duties by employees.  In case of change of working mode of the professional participant during this period (schedule of its service to individuals and legal entities) it is necessary to reflect this information on the web-site.

In case of realization by the professional participant of activity during the quarantine period, providing them with administrative data/information in NSSMC occurs in terms established by normative-legal acts.

In case of impossibility to carry out professional activity due to the circumstances provided by the Law of Ukraine №530-IX “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Aimed at Preventing the Occurrence and Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)”, which, inter alia, leads to impossibility to provide professional participant of administrative data / information, the deadlines for submission may be extended in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.

For the period of quarantine, the NSSMC suspends the scheduled inspections of professional participants provided by the Annual Plan of implementation of measures of state supervision (control) of the NSSMC for 2020.

Until the end of the quarantine, the application period for receiving administrative services and the terms for providing these services, determined by law, shall be suspended.  The terms of their provision will be extended taking into account the time during which the quarantine will last.

Let’s remind that that on March 17, 2020 the President of Ukraine signed the Law of Ukraine № 530-IX “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Aimed at Preventing the Occurrence and Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)”.
